About Trail Mix
Trail Mix is a program that merges local music with Brantford’s trail system. Trail users can look for the signs posted on the kilometer markers along a 10km stretch of the trail between Hardy Road and River Road/Dike Trail intersection, located behind notable tourism destinations in Brantford including: Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, Waterworks Park, Earl Haig Family Fun Park and Brant’s Crossing. There are a total of ten playlists and ten unique QR codes along the trail. Each playlist has 3 songs and is approximately 10-12 minutes long, which allows the trail user to continue discovering local music during the duration of their hike.

Brantford’s beautiful trail system and abundance of local talent was a natural fit for Trail Mix, a program that was originally piloted by the City of Waterloo and has since been adopted by numerous communities throughout Ontario. A special thanks once again goes out to City of Waterloo staff who graciously helped us recreate this fun experience in Brantford in 2022. Trail Mix was made possible with funding from Hamilton Halton Brant Regional Tourism Association.

Please watch the demonstration video on YouTube, produced by Pynx Productions, to learn how to scan the signs using your phone. To learn more, please visit discoverbrantford.ca/trailmix
