Artist Submission Form - Culture Days on the Trails

The Opportunity
Are you a local Brantford artist? The City of Brantford is looking for singers, dancers, poets, spoken word artist, musicians, theatre performers, and live painters to submit their proposal to showcase their amazing skills on this year’s Culture Days on the Trails.
Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture. At the end of each September, millions of people attend thousands of free participatory arts and culture events across the country both in-person and online. Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and go behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities.
This year Brantford is hosting Culture Days on the Trails, which will take place on Saturday September 23rd from 10am-1pm (rain date Sunday September 24th). The festivities will take place along the trail beginning at the Hardy Road parking lot and ending at the Lafayette Ave., which runs behind Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant and the Brantford Golf and Country Club. Attendees will be invited to walk along the trail and attend 8-10 mini concerts and performances along the 2.6 km stretch.
- Artists will be paid $150.00 for the three hour performance time.
- Artists will be stationed outside along the trail to showcase their talents for 3 hours
Please note due to the outdoor nature of this event, there will not be any power or water supply. Shade will be limited, but performance sites have been selected based on shade and performance space. Artists will be selected through a jury-led review panel.
